Toyota ranks first in cars most valuable brands, overtaking German giant BMW.
According to the ranking BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands; Toyota, Mercedes, Audi and Hyundai improved their values in double-digit percentages, largely due to the huge demand in Chinese and North American markets.
The japanese brand in 2013 increased 12% to approximately 19 billion euros, largely because of the significant rise in the hybrid cars market. BMW dropped 2% to 18,650 million euros due to a lack of new products launches, compared to previous years.
Among the Germans, Mercedes increased 11% to 14,000 million euros and Audi rose 18% to a value of 4.27 billion euros.
In general terms, in the the first place of the Top 100 most valuable brands 2013 is, again, Apple valued at 144 billion euros, followed by Google (88.4 billion euros) and IBM 87 billion euros.
